Summer is about FUN!

We are unofficially in the summer season.  Summertime is about bikes, playgrounds, mini-golf, pool time and hanging out with friends.  Join Bike Gaithersburg for our June Kidical Mass Gaithersburg ride on Sunday,  June 12th at 10 am.  The ride will combine some of the fun elements of summer as we ride to Malcolm Park and Bohrer Park.  We will meet at 10 am at Kentlands Market Square located at 201 West Market Street near Thai Tanium and Crepes A Go Go.  Our June ride will feature two stops. The first stop is Malcom King Park located at 1200 West Side Drive. The second stop is Bohrer Park located at 506 South Frederick Avenue.  The ride concludes at Bohrer Park.  We will ride along shared use paths and low level traffic streets to each location.  Feel free to join us for the complete ride or part of the ride.  At the end, we will visit Bohrer Park’s Miniature Golf Course.  Information about both of these parks can be found at

What is Kidical Mass??  Kidical Mass Gaithersburg aims to support families in everyday use of bicycling.  Based on successful efforts in other cities, including DC and Arlington locally, the aim is to have monthly rides that are social, casually paced and FUN.  We also will raise awareness of the possibilities for safer bike routes in the community and guide folks to the easiest ways to navigate the community by bike.  While the ride is geared toward families, anyone is welcome to join. The rides also an opportunity to learn about equipment and resources to help make bicycling as a family safe and fun.  It’s also a great way to meet other families that enjoy bicycling..

If you are unable to make June’s ride, don’t worry.  Kidical Mass Gaithersburg rides are held every month through November.
