Summer is about road trips. Join Bike Gaithersburg as we bring our Kidical Mass Gaithersburg social ride to Bethesda. July’s ride will take place on Saturday, July 9th at 10:30 am. We will meet at the entrance of Capital Crescent Trail (CCT) on Bethesda Avenue near the restaurant, Paul located at 4760 Bethesda Avenue. We will ride along the CCT to River Road and back to the starting point. We will take a playground break along the way. There are two public parking garages nearby: the Capital Crescent garage and the Bethesda Elm garage.
What is Kidical Mass?? Kidical Mass Gaithersburg aims to support families in everyday use of bicycling. Based on successful efforts in other cities, including DC and Arlington locally, the aim is to have monthly rides that are social, casually paced and FUN. We also will raise awareness of the possibilities for safer bike routes in the community and guide folks to the easiest ways to navigate the community by bike. While the ride is geared toward families, anyone is welcome to join. The rides also an opportunity to learn about equipment and resources to help make bicycling as a family safe and fun. It’s also a great way to meet other families that enjoy bicycling..
If you are unable to make July’s ride, don’t worry. Kidical Mass Gaithersburg rides are held every month through November.
